Mushroom Hunting Day Trip

Recently some friends and I took a trip south of the Cities to do a little mushroom hunting. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

The woods were quite thick, and the soil was a little drier than I would have liked.

We noticed a lot of these. Anyone know what they are?

We finally spotted our first Morel. A close examination of the surrounding area yielded several more.

Here's our final count. Not as many as I had hoped for, but certainly enough for a good meal.

It was a beautiful day, and we had a great time in the woods.
