Fall Colors at Murphy-Hanrehan Preserve, Oct. 2017
While we're in the middle of another long Minnesota winter, I thought I'd post some pictures from a trip this last Fall. The colors in October can be quite breathtaking, and I thought this would be a nice reminder of some of the many reasons why we love living here.
This hike was at Murpy-Hanrehan Nature Preserve, a short drive from my home in St. Paul down to the Southern suburbs. I just recently discovered this park, and it's enormous! I feel like I've barely scratched the surface, so I plan to spend a lot more time exploring here in the near future.
Red oak leaves have pointed tips, while white oaks are rounded.
Big-tooth aspen leaves littering the trail.
Red maple.
Hope y'all enjoyed.
